VISIT WINA

Your stay sustains conservation.

Wina offers a comfortable base in one of Zambia's most overlooked ecosystems. Over twenty kilometres of trails. The verdant West Lunga River curls around the property and travels south to join the mighty Zambezi River. Skies and trees full of birds unique to this region of Zambia.

Whether you come for the trails, the river, the tranquillity, or all three — you'll leave having done something that lasts. When you stay with us, you're not just visiting — you're funding land stewardship, wildlife protection and care, and community partnerships. Every night at Wina has a direct impact.

All the ease of camping, with none of the pitching. On request, we set up a tent for you on our camping grounds tucked beneath a canopy of trees, each tent furnished with a single bed (a second single bed can be added on request), so you can arrive, unpack and settle straight in. The grounds have hot showers, flush toilets and braai stands, plus a communal hut with power sockets. Every accommodation at Wina is designed to blur the lines between shelter and landscape —
intimate enough to feel like home, open enough to feel like wilderness.

Food & Drink

We now offer full board catering — by prior arrangement — tasty healthy meals using local ingredients.
Guests are welcome to self-cater — the Main House and Family Chalets have equipped kitchens, and our staff will help with meal preparation and washing/tidying as required. Bring your favourite ingredients. We have a simple Trust Bar stocked with a selection of wines, beers, and soft drinks, or bring your own if self-catering.

A note on the essentials:

Water is borehole-fed and safe to drink, with an additional advanced filter available. We run entirely on solar — something we're proud of — so on cloudy days we ask guests to be mindful of power use.
We have Starlink for connectivity (and if you need to get some work done we can facilitate), but we'd gently encourage you to use it sparingly. You came here for other kinds of connection.

GUEST IMPACT

Your Visit. Their Survival.

The connection is more direct than you might think. Every night you stay at Wina enables
us to keep the birds overhead, sitatunga in the floodplain, and the pangolins moving
through the dark — alive, wild, and here for the next person who finds this place.

Revenue from your stay goes directly into the work: anti-poaching patrols, snare removal,
fire prevention, dry-season wildlife support, habitat restoration, and the community
partnerships that make all of it last.

One night at Wina helps prevent poaching and fires, feeds animals through the dry season, and keeps this extraordinary ecosystem alive — for the wildlife that depends on it, and the travellers still to come.
